Update: Power Outage Near Big Trees Village

Update at 1:45 p.m.: The power has been restored to 118 PG&E customers in the Big Trees Village area. The utility did not post a cause for the outage that left those customers without electricity for over four hours.

Update at 1 p.m.:  PG&E has pushed back the restoration time for 118 customers in the Big Trees Village area from 12:30 to 3:15 p.m.

Update at 930am: While the earlier power outage near Avery has been restored, there is a new incident further up Highway 4 near Big Trees Village. PG&E reports that there are 118 customers without electricity. The cause of the outage is still under investigation, but PG&E is hoping to have everyone restored by 12:30pm.

Update at 7:15am: PG&E reports that the power near Avery has been restored.

Original story posted at 6am: Avery, CA — There is one notable power outage in the Mother Lode, as a storm system passes through the region.

There are 110 PG&E customers without power off Highway 4 above Avery. PG&E says the outage started around 8 o’clock last night and full restoration should come later this morning. Damaged equipment was located. PG&E crews are on scene.
