Sonora Boys Basketball Will Meet Palo Alto In Playoffs

Sonora, CA — Sonora High School will play host in the first round of the CIF Division III state basketball playoffs.

We reported earlier that the Wildcats were victorious on Friday afternoon, 73-70, defeating the Liberty Ranch Hawks of Galt at the Golden One Center in Sacramento to claim the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV championship.

Sonora High will now face Palo Alto Tuesday at 7pm at Sonora High School. The Wildcats enter the game as the 5th seed in the bracket, with a 27-4 record, while Palo Alto is the 12th seed, and 18-9. The winner will move on to face either 4th seeded Stuart Hall or 13th seeded Leland on Thursday.
