Deep Snow Hampers Trash Collection In Tuolumne County

Sonora, CA — Some Waste Management customers are being asked to pitch in and drop off their trash in Tuolumne County.

The barrage of wintery storm systems in recent weeks has piled up so much snow on residential side roads that Waste Management garbage trucks cannot drive on them. That has forced the company to cancel trash collection this Saturday, February 23, in Strawberry, Cold Springs, Long Barn and Sierra Village.

Instead, Waste Management is asking customers in those areas to dump their trash at one-hour drop off sites scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The company provided these times and drop off locations below:
