Update: Morning Power Outages In The Mother Lode

Update at 11:40 p.m.:  PG&E crews are restoring power to some of the 3,500 customers in the Mother Lode after the stormy weather darkened homes, but new outages have also been sparked. The latest outages are in the Cold Springs area impacting 687 customers. Additionally, there are two new outages in the Camp Connell area impacting 122 customers.

Where crews are making progress is in the Arnold area. 433 customers’ power has been restored there. The largest outage remains in the Rail Road Flat, Wilseyville and West Point region. However, it was impacting nearly 2,500 customers and that number has declined to just over 1,500. There remains another smaller outage in the Jesus Maria area affecting 20 customers. Nearly 170 PG&E customers had no electricity in the Twain Harte area and that number has dipped to about 90.

The hardest hit area of Tuolumne County is still the Groveland and Buck Meadows region where about 450 customers are waking up to no lights, most stretching along Highway 120.

The utility reports that crews will continue working throughout the day to restore these outages, but there are no time estimates given regarding when the electricity will go on in these areas.
