Update: Power Restored In Tuolumne County

Update at 8:20am: PG&E reports that power has been restored to the 2,800 customers that lost electricity late in the six o’clock hour this morning. The outage resulted in one school cancellation, Curtis Creek Elementary.

Original story posted at 7:10am: Sonora, CA — There is a major power outage that started at around 6:45 this morning, and it has resulted the cancellation of classes at a local school.

PG&E reports that 2,820 customers are without electricity. It is impacting Standard, Soulsbyville, Mono Vista and parts of Tuolumne. The company reports that the cause is under investigation, but the hope is to have everyone restored by 10:45am.

Curtis Creek Elementary School has cancelled classes due to the outage.
