Update: Pile Up On HWY 120 In Tuolumne County

Update at 7 p.m.: The CHP is reporting that one person has died at the scene of a three vehicle pile up on Highway 120 at the Sims Road intersection off of the Yosemite Junction in the Chinese Camp area of Tuolumne County. The coroner has been called to the scene. Crews will remain on scene as investigators are surveying the collision scene and tow crews are working to remove the wreckage. Further details on the crash are below.

Update at 6:45 p.m.: The CHP updates that two people have minor injuries and another individual has major injuries. Emergency crews are currently working to free that person from a vehicle. A Ford SUV and a Toyota Prius both have major front end damage, according to the CHP. Officers are continuing to direct traffic. Further details on the crash can be viewed below.

Original post at 6:25 p.m.: Chinese Camp, CA — Emergency crews are on the scene of a pile up on Highway 120 at the Sims Road intersection off of the Yosemite Junction in the Chinese Camp area of Tuolumne County.

The CHP reports that three vehicle have collided. Two people are trapped in vehicles and another person has major injuries, according to the CHP. An air-ambulance and a ground ambulance have been called to the scene, but there are no details on specific injuries. There is debris in the roadway so officers are directing traffic. We will bring you more details as soon as they come into the newsroom.
