Update: Oakdale Incident Delays Traffic On Highway 108

Update at 8:03am: Traffic is again flowing freely on Highway 108 near North Stearns Avenue in Oakdale. The Police Department reports it was the scene of an earlier head-on crash. No additional new information has been released at this time. 

Original story posted at 6:50am: Oakdale, CA — The Oakdale Police Department is on the scene of a head-on crash on Highway 108 near North Stearns Road.

The CHP reports that a pickup truck and a Corvette collided, at around 5:50am, and it resulted in the Corvette igniting on fire. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene. The CHP reports that everyone was reportedly able to safely get out of the car.

Be prepared for a traffic delay this morning if you are traveling between Tuolumne County and the eastern edge of Oakdale.
