Update: Stretch Of HWY 4 Reopened After Crash

Update at 1:20 p.m.: The CHP reports a solo-vehicle wreck on Highway 4 near the Pool Station Road intersection has been cleared and traffic is moving freely once again. Further details on the crash are below.

Original post at 1 p.m.: Angels Camp, CA — The CHP is on the scene of a solo-vehicle wreck near the Pool Station Road intersection in the Angels Camp area of Calaveras County.

The CHP reports that section of roadway has been closed as emergency crews are working to free an occupant of the vehicle that went off the roadway and down a ditch. An ambulance has been called to the scene, but there are no details on injuries at this time. The CHP has not given an estimated time as to when the roadway will reopen.
