Update: Calaveras County Crash Has Person Pinned In Vehicle

Update at 2:30 p.m.: The CHP reports no injuries in the solo-vehicle crash on Highway 26 near Woodhouse Mine Road. The westbound lane of the highway remains blocked with rescue equipment working to tow the vehicle up from the ditch while officers are directing traffic.

Update at 1:30 p.m.: The CHP reports a person that was pinned in the vehicle after a crash on Highway 26 near Woodhouse Mine Road has been freed. An air-ambulance that had been called to the scene was released, but there are still no details on the individual’s condition. The westbound lane of the highway is blocked with rescue equipment working to tow the vehicle up from the ditch while officers are directing traffic.

Original post at 1:10 p.m.: Calaveras County, CA — Emergency crews are responding to a solo-vehicle crash in Calaveras County.

The CHP reports that a vehicle went off the roadway and down an embankment on Highway 26 near Woodhouse Mine Road between Glencoe and Wilseyville. A person is pinned in the vehicle and an air-ambulance has been called to the scene. There is no word on the victim’s condition. We will bring you more details as soon as they come into the news center.
