Update: Firefighters Respond To Angels Camp

Update at 9:50am: A small fire was located in the residence and it was contained. Minimal damage was reported. Agencies on scene include Angels Camp Fire, Altaville Melones Fire, CAL FIre, San Andreas Fire and Murphys Fire.

Original story posted at 8:30am: Angels Camp, CA — You will notice quite a few firefighting resources at 148 Main Street in Angels Camp this morning. It is near the Monte Verde Street intersection.

There was a report of heavy smoke coming from the residence, so firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Residents inside the home were able to evacuate safely. Initial responders located the heavy smoke but no flames. An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Be prepared for activity in the area.
