Sonora, CA — In light of the recent high fire activity in the Mother Lode and across the state, a planned CAL Fire training exercise this week has been cancelled.
It was scheduled to run this Tuesday through Thursday at the Sardella Ranch on Wards Ferry Road. The hope was to bring in a half dozen engines, two fire crews and a bulldozer to burn 80 acres of grass and oak understory.
It is unclear when, and if, it will be rescheduled.
