Vehicle Search Finds Stash Of Meth

Tuolumne County, CA – Deputies from the sheriff’s Tuolumne Narcotics Team (TNT) made a traffic stop that paid off big time. Thursday night deputies pulled over a 1984 Chevrolet Silverado on O’Byrnes Ferry Road near Lake Tulloch. Behind the wheel was, 60-year-old Roy Gillespie and in the front passenger seat was 53-year-old David Bryan. A records check revealed that Bryan was wanted for felony domestic violence.

During a search of the car, deputies discovered nearly 25 grams of methamphetamine. The men were handcuffed and transported to Tuolumne County Jail. Gillespie faces possession and transportation for sale of methamphetamine charges while Bryan was booked for his outstanding warrant. Gillespie’s bail was set at $70,000.
