Wilseyville, CA — A mother and daughter were transported to hospitals outside the county to treat major injuries following a single vehicle crash in Calaveras County.

It happened at 4:05pm on Highway 26 near Toloma Court. The CHP reports that 29-year-old Jessica Fox of Wilseyville drifted onto the north roadway shoulder and hit a tree. Fox exited the vehicle, and with the help of passing motorists, removed her four-year-old daughter from the rear seat of the vehicle. The CHP notes that the crash remains under investigation and points out that drugs and/or alcohol are not believed to be a contributing factor. Fox was taken to Sutter Amador Hospital and the daughter was taken to UC Davis.
