Thermoplastic Striping Project To Create Long Motorists Delays

Calaveras County, CA — A thermoplastic striping project along Calaveritas Road in Calaveras County will cause lengthy delays for motorists starting tomorrow and lasting two days.

On Thursday, April 11th, and Friday, April 12th, there will be traffic delays on Calaveritas Road, from the Calaveritas Bridge to the intersection with Fricot City Road, for a thermoplastic stripping project. The hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during daylight hours. Calaveras County Public Works officials relay, “There will be a slow and continuously rolling operation.  Drivers should expect up to 30-minute delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during the construction of this important safety project.”

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution in these areas while observing all traffic control signs and instructions from onsite personnel. Calaveras County has contracted with Chrisp Company to conduct the work on this Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP). For questions regarding the project or to report urgent road-related issues, please call the Calaveras County Public Works Department at (209) 754-6401, during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm). After regular business hours, contact the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at (209) 754-6500 (non-emergency phone number).
