Turkey Dinners For Local Families In Need This Holiday Season

Jamestown, CA — Thanks to some significant donations, ATCAA has surpassed its goal of collecting 1,800 turkeys for food baskets this Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Notably, Lloyd Mathiesen, Tribal Chairman at Chicken Ranch Rancheria, along with the tribal council, wanted to ensure that the goal was met, and donated $18,000 to purchase 900 turkeys. That donation was met, turkey for turkey, by the Diestel Turkey Ranch, bringing the number to 1,800.

ATCAA has now collected enough turkeys to give over 2,000 families a complete holiday meal. For more information about the ATCAA food bank programs you can call 984-3960, ext. 101.
