Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Calaveras County

Mountain Ranch, CA – Two thieves brandishing a gun got away with several high end items and pounds of pot in Calaveras County.

Sheriff’s officials detail that early Wednesday just before 5 a.m. a 55-year-old male victim reported that two Hispanic males restrained him at gun point and stole items from his property on 9000 block of Whiskey Slide Road in Mountain Ranch. Those items stolen included several Stihl brand Chainsaws, a Honda pressure washer, several pounds of marijuana, cash, a generator and the victim’s 2005 Silver Toyota Tundra.

Investigators are asking for the public to keep an eye out for the truck with California license plate number 7W00969.  The pickup also has a distinct lumber rack with corrugated metal sidewalls. The victim was not able to give additional physical descriptions of the suspects or their vehicle. Detectives say he did acknowledge that he may have met one of the thieves before.

Sheriff’s officials are asking that anyone with information regarding this incident call (209) 754-6500 for detectives or call the anonymous tip line at (209) 754-6030.
