Major Injuries From Crash On Highway 120

Tuolumne County, CA — Two people sustained major injuries in a crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon on Highway 120.

The CHP reports that 28-year-old Ryan Silveira of Manteca came to a stop on Highway 49 in his 2000 Ford Ranger at the intersection of Highway 120. The CHP reports that Silveira then turned onto Highway 120 but failed to yield to a 1999 eastbound Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 44-year-old Jamy Gray of Groveland. The CHP reports that Gray was traveling over the posted 65 mph speed limit and was unable to avoid Silveira due to his “excessive speed.”

Both Silveira and Gray sustained reported “major injuries” in the crash and were flown to hospitals in Modesto. The crash occurred just after 3pm.
