Update: More Wet Weather

A series of Pacific storms will bring periods of light to occasionally moderate precipitation to Northern California into Thursday.

Mountain snow will be possible with generally light accumulations at pass levels and upwards of a foot over the Sierra Nevada. Mountain travel delays and chain controls over the Sierra Nevada are possible.

Thunderstorms will be possible in the Northern San Joaquin Valley and the Mother Lode foothills on Tuesday, with best chances in the afternoon. The thunderstorms could bring locally heavy rain, cloud to ground lightning and gusty wind.

A brief break in the wet weather is expected Wednesday, then another weak storm will bring some light precipitation Wednesday evening into Thursday. Wet roads could bring longer commute times.

Drier weather is forecast Friday into the weekend with above normal temperatures.
