Jamestown Man Arrested For Vehicle Theft

Sonora, CA — A Jamestown man was arrested after being found behind the wheel of a stolen truck in Sonora.

On Tuesday, a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup had been reported taken from the Jamestown area. That night shortly after eight o’clock a CHP officer spotted the pickup heading east on Highway 108 in Sonora. A records check confirmed it was the stolen vehicle and the van was pulled over on Peaceful Oak Road. The CHP reports the driver, 25-year-old Michael D. Souza was taken into custody. He was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for vehicle theft.
