CHP Capture Car Thief In Jamestown

Jamestown, CA – A keen eyed officer recognized a stolen sports car and nabbed the thief behind the wheel.

The incident happened on Wednesday just after 11 pm when officers saw a convertible Ford Mustang drive by that matched the description of a car reported taken the day before.

A check of the license plate number confirmed it was the stolen vehicle. Officers pulled the driver, 42-year-old Joseph Mondell Thomas of Patterson over on Highway 49/108 just north of Chicken Ranch Road.

He faces charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and stolen property.
