Update: Monday Afternoon Power Outage Continues, Shelter Opens

Update at 4:50 p.m.: Tuolumne County OES Coordinator Tracie Riggs shares that, due to an ongoing power outage that has kept area residents in and around Mi Wuk Village in the dark since before the weekend the Red Cross is opening a shelter at 6 p.m.

It is located at the Word of God Fellowship Hall and offers cots, warm food. folks are also welcome to simply stop in and get warm for a bit before heading home, roads and weather-permitting.

Original Post at 12:48 p.m.: Sonora, CA — Widespread power outages remain an issue in the Mother Lode this afternoon.

In Twain Harte, PG&E reports there are 14 separate outages impacting 532 customers. In the Cold Springs area there is a single outage impacting 685 customers. In Arnold, PG&E reports there are 43 separate outages impacting a combined 2,533 customers. There are smaller outages in areas like Tuolumne, Jamestown, Sonora, Soulsbyville, Murphys, San Andreas, Valley Springs, West Point, Railroad Flat and Copperopolis. Because the outages are so widespread, PG&E indicates that it is unclear when there will be full restoration.
