Sonora, CA — An investigation is ongoing about an assault that recently took place at night in downtown Sonora.
The PD reports that officers responded late in the evening to Sonora Regional Medical Center back on Friday, November 25 because a 50-year-old unidentified man was assaulted earlier in the night. The altercation occurred on Washington Street between the Hot Shotz Sports Bar and the Office Bar. The man suffered significant injuries to his head during the incident. No other details are being released at this time by the Police Department. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Sonora Police Department at 209-532-8141.
