Stolen Vehicle Located In Sonora: Drug Arrest Made

Sonora, CA — A Fresno man was arrested in Sonora on Thanksgiving Day on drug charges and for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

Just after 8am on Thursday the Sonora Police Department responded to a residence on Mono Way because a man was “suspiciously attempting to sell property.” Officers located the suspect, 39-year-old Douglas Randal Power, near a stolen 2003 Chevy Duramax pickup truck, which was parked at the residence. The Police Department determined that the truck, which was pulling a utility trailer, had been stolen out of Fresno on November 11.

Power was placed under arrest.  Officers also located over a gram of methamphetamine, meth smoking pipes and a pair of metal knuckles. An investigation is ongoing in regards to the stolen vehicle. Power was booked into Tuolumne County Jail on felony and misdemeanor charges.
