Fatal Crash In Calaveras County

Camp Connell, CA — The CHP reports Highway 4 was shut down after the two-vehicle crash east of Arnold that killed one person and seriously hurt another.

The vehicles collided at Meko Drive in the Camp Connell area in the four o’clock hour Friday afternoon. One of the drivers died at the scene while the driver of the other vehicle suffered major injuries. The highway was shut down and officers directed traffic for about two hours.

The CHP reports that more details will be released regarding the names of those involved and exactly what cause the crash on Monday.
