Gold Springs Sewer Project To Commence

Columbia, CA — Beginning Monday, traffic delays will be a common theme along Parrotts Ferry Road near the Gold Springs Subdivision.

Moyle Excavation Inc. will begin work on the $673,000 Gold Springs Sewer Replacement project. 15-minute traffic delays are anticipated for several weeks, Monday through Friday, from 7am-4pm, from Brewster Drive to Marble Quarry Road. The project is anticipated to be completed at some point in the Fall, according to T.U.D., weather permitting.

The project includes replacing 5,510 linear ft. of sewer force main and 963 linear ft. of sewer gravity main, along the east side of Parrotts Ferry Road.  The Gold Springs Lift Station collects wastewater from approximately 210  homes in the Gold Springs Subdivision and the Gold Spring Townhomes off Marble Quarry Road. In addition, it serves 12 homes in the Rambling Hills Estates. The infrastructure has encountered several breaks over recent years requiring numerous repairs. The pipeline is also approaching its capacity and the larger main will be able to accommodate greater flows in the future.
