Tuolumne County Supervisors To Discuss CEQA

Sonora, CA — A special meeting is scheduled for Friday, and only one item is on the agenda.

The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors will hear a presentation, and host a workshop, on the California Environmental Quality Act. Better known as CEQA, it is California’s statute that requires state and local government agencies to identify environmental impacts of projects, and avoid or mitigate those impacts, if feasible.

An attorney based in Sacramento that specializes in CEQA related matters is expected to be on hand at the meeting to provide information.

The open to the public meeting starts at 9am in the Board of Supervisors meeting room and county officials indicate it will likely continue up until around noontime.
