T.U.D. Work Planned For Stewart Street

Sonora, CA — Some paving work will impact traffic this Tuesday through Thursday in downtown Sonora. The Tuolumne Utilities District reports that GT Construction Inc. has been contracted to do the work along Stewart Street. TUD warns that 5-10 minute traffic delays are anticipated from 7am – 4pm along portions of Stewart Street. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area, if possible, during the work hours.

We reported previously that TUD work is also slowing traffic today through Friday in the area of Highway 108 and 5th avenue in Jamestown. TUD is relocating a water main so 5th Avenue is temporarily closed during construction hours. The work is taking place daily from 7am-4pm. A detour is set up using Humbug Street and Main Street in Jamestown.
