Update: Semi-Truck Travels Off Highway 49

Update at 10am: The big-rig truck has been removed from Highway 49 and traffic is moving freely. There were no injuries that resulted from the crash. The name of the driver is not immediately available, but he is from Pennsylvania.

Original story posted at 7:20am: Tuolumne County, CA — Be prepared for traffic delays this morning on Highway 49 near Jackass Hill Road in Tuolumne County.

The CHP reports that a big-rig truck went off the road while going into a sweeping curve and the back end of the truck went down the embankment. Officials with the CHP and Caltrans are responding to help direct traffic. Heavy duty equipment will be arriving to help remove the truck. Travel with caution in the area and be prepared for activity.
