TCSAR Stays Busy Over Weekend

Sonora, CA — In addition to joining the efforts to search for missing woman at Lake Alpine, the Tuolumne County Search and Rescue Team stayed busy close to home as well.

A couple of people received needed assistance over the weekend according to the Sheriff’s Office.

A man who was visiting Tuolumne County from Los Angeles went missing following a hike in the Red Hills area. His phone died while he was calling the Sheriff’s Office at around midnight on Saturday. A deputy soon checked the trailhead and located his vehicle. The man was found several hours later.

In addition, Saturday afternoon a man needed to be rescued out of the Cleo’s Bath area in Pinecrest due to a dislocated knee. Pinecrest Fire Department officials carried the man out, where he was later met by Search and Rescue personnel to receive medical attention.
