Calaveras County, CA — Firefighters have stopped the forward rate of spread of a grass fire off Poole Station Road in Calaveras County, near Highway 49.
The fire, two acres, is situated in the area of a former cement plant. Aircraft from Columbia was initially dispatched but have now been released from the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Be prepared for activity in that area over the next several hours as mop-up continues.
The fire ignited around 6pm.
