TUD To Slow Down Traffic In Sonora

Sonora, CA — Motorists will face delays in downtown Sonora next week for Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) roadwork.

Under the direction of TUD, GT Construction Incorporated, crews will continue paving streets east of Washington Street.  The work begins Monday, July 25 and runs through Friday, July 29.  Crews will be working along stretches of Sheppard and Stewart streets between Elkin and Church streets.  The hours of operation will be 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Motorists could see delays of 5-10 minutes.

TUD officials ask that drivers please slow down and use caution in those areas especially when workers are present.  Additionally, travelers are advised to take alternative routes if possible.
