Update: Two-Vehicle Crash On Hwy 108, Roadway Reopened

Update at 6:35 p.m.: The CHP reports major injuries in the crash with an individual being flown to a Modesto hospital. Another person had minor injuries. The westbound lane was blocked with debris and just reopened according to the CHP. Officers directed one-way traffic control for about an hour.

Update at 5:55 p.m.: The CHP reports the injuries are minor and the westbound lane is blocked as officers are conducting one-way traffic control.

Original post at 5:39 p.m.: Long Barn, CA — Emergency crews are on the scene of a two vehicle crash on Highway 108 and the CHP reports two people are lying in the roadway.

The wreck happened on the highway near Lyons Creek Road in the Long Barn area. A Jeep and SUV collided just after 5 p.m.  One of the vehicles hit a tree and the other went down an embankment and both overturned, according to the CHP.

An air ambulance has been called to the scene. There is debris in the roadway so motorists will want to slow down and use caution in the area. There are no details on the individuals’ injuries. We will bring you more details as soon as they come into the news center.
