Camanche Fire Nears Containment

Ione, CA — The Camanche Fire in Amador County is now 210 acres and 95% contained.

The fire ignited on Friday afternoon near the community of Ione. It destroyed at least three outbuildings and initially resulted in several evacuation orders. Those individuals have now been allowed to return back to their homes. The cause of the fire is under investigation. It ignited in grassy oak woodland along Camanche Parkway North and Coal Mine Road. Several air and ground resources responded.
