Culvert Failure Closes Mountain Ranch Road

Calaveras County, CA — The recent rainfall resulted in some flooding in the Butte Fire burn area.

Calaveras County Spokesperson Sharon Torrence reports that Mountain Ranch Road will be closed today, and potentially into tomorrow, due to a culvert failure. County crews are on scene making needed repairs. The closure is from upper Michel Road to lower Michel Road. There is a detour set up utilizing Calaveritas Road. It is also noted that no truck traffic is allowed on Mountain Ranch Road.

Over the weekend there was some flooding reported in the area of Mountain Ranch Road and also Jesus Maria Road.

There were also six reports of trees falling in the burn area.
