Grant Time For Forest Trails

Sonora, CA – Stanislaus National Forest officials want your thoughts on trails for off road vehicles, like ATV’s, as it prepares annual applications for state grants.

The comments are needed as forest officials plan to submit preliminary 2017 grant applications for consideration by the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHVMR) Division.  Forest recreation officials have finished two draft grant applications, with plans to propose a total of three. Forest officials share the proposed projects include trail and facilities operation/maintenance, trail signage, barrier placement, law enforcement patrols, visitor education, and development planning.
