Sonora, CA — Hear how Tuolumne County is responding to the Governor’s State of Emergency related to high tree mortality.

Bark Beetle infestations, enhanced by the drought, has resulted in thousands of dead and dying trees creating hazards near public infrastructure, such as highly traveled roads. This week’s Mother Lode Views will focus on local efforts to deal with the growing problem. Guests will include Tuolumne County Office of Emergency Services Coordinator Tracie Riggs and Sierra Resource Management President Mike Albrecht. They will detail the plan of attack, the scope of the problem, funding available, unanswered questions, and areas of most notable concern.
