Traffic Delays Anticipated On Racetrack Road

Sonora, CA — Traffic delays are anticipated on Tuesday due to the ongoing Gibbs Sewer Collection Improvements Project.

The Tuolumne Utilities District reports that one-way traffic control operations will be set up from 8am-4pm on Racetrack Road, between Leland Avenue and East Walnut Avenue. Due to paving, traffic delays of 10-minutes should be anticipated.

NorCal Pipeline Services, hired by T.U.D., began work on the project this past October and hopes to have it completed by March 12, weather permitting. Funding for the $1.4 million project came from a Community Development Block Grant. It includes rehabilitating 15,560 ft. of sewer main pipeline, adding 490 ft. of new sewer main, 20 new sewer manholes and repairing 14 existing sewer manholes.
