Update: Major Injuries in Pin-In Crash

Update 5:20 p.m.: The CHP reports the roadway is cleared of debris and traffic is moving freely once again.

Update at 4:40 p.m.: The CHP reports major injuries in the crash with the roadway shutdown.

Original  Post at 4:13 p.m.: Rail Road Flat, CA — The CHP is on the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Railroad Flat Road.

The wreck happened around 4 p.m. near the intersection of Buchanan Way and McCarthy Reservoir Road  in Calaveras County.  The CHP reports an SUV and pickup truck collided leaving on person trapped in one of the vehicles. An air ambulance has been called to the scene. The debris is blocking the roadway backing up traffic in the area. We will bring you more details as soon as they come into the newsroom.
