Update: Sierra Winter Storm Warning Ends Today

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the Sierra Nevada until 4 PM this afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, total snow accumulations will range from ten inches to three feet above 6,000 feet.

Snow levels will continue to lower to 5,000 feet.

Winds of ten to twenty mph will continue with gusts up to 40 mph.

A Winter Storm Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or are occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Roads will become snowpacked. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
