Cost To Fill Up Tank Dips Slightly

Sonora, CA — While the average price for a gallon of gasoline has increased 20-cents over the past month in California, it did see a minor decline this past week.

AAA reports that the average price for regular unleaded was $2.65 a month ago, but it is now up to $2.85. Over the past week, AAA says the average has declined by a fraction of a cent, from around $2.86. The price in California is still much higher than the nationwide average of $2.05 a gallon, which is down by just a penny over the past three weeks.

The myMotherLode.com gas price section shows regular unleaded is selling in Sonora from 2.39 to 2.57 and in San Andreas from 2.59 to 2.65.

AAA reports that the highest average ever recorded in California was $4.67 a gallon in October of 2012.
