Structure Fire In Tuolumne County

Mi-Wuk Village, CA — Firefighters quickly contained a residential structure fire in the Mi-Wuk Village area.

Cal Fire dispatch says a caller reported smoke pouring out of the garage of the home located on the 24000 block of Lama Hisum Road near Aselu Court. The flames broke out just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in about 20 minutes. Cal Fire reports the flames were contained to the garage.

Assisting in battling the blaze were Tuolumne County Fire, Twain Harte Fire and Mi-wuk Sugar Pine fire districts with six engines on scene.  Cal Fire reports the cause of the fire is under investigation.
