Update: Structure Fire In Strawberry

Update 1:00 pm: Cal Fire reports the house fire was contained at 11:10am. The two-story home located in the 31000 block of Wren Lane in Strawberry was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene. Dispatch reports one person was able to safely get out of the house without injury before crews arrived at the home. Assisting in battling the blaze was Tuolumne County Fire, Twain Harte Fire District, Strawberry Fire and the Mi-Wuk Fire District. Cal Fire dispatch reports the fire remains under investigation.

Updated at 10:18am: Firefighters are continuing to extinguish a residential structure fire reported in the 31000 block of Wren Lane in Strawberry. What ignited the fire is not immediately known. All of the occupants inside where able to safely escape. Smoke has been visible in the area.

Original story posted at 10:04am: Strawberry, CA — Firefighters are arriving on the scene of a structure fire burning in Strawberry.

It is 31000 block of Wren Lane and it is off Tanager Drive. Smoke is visible from Highway 108. Several fire engines from nearby communities are responding. We’ll pass along more information as it becomes available.
