Update: HWY49 Reopens After Solo Crash

Update at 4:10p.m.: The CHP reports the roadway is open and traffic is moving freely once again.

Update at 2:40pm: The CHP reports there are no injuries in the crash, but the wreckage continues to block the roadway. Tow crews are on the scene working to remove the debris.

Original Post at 2:20pm: Sonora, CA — Emergency crews are on the scene of a solo vehicle crash on Highway 49 near Old Sonora Columbia Road in Sonora.

The CHP reports a truck pulling a trailer carrying a farm tractor overturned on the highway near the Sonora Veterinary Group offices.  Traffic is blocked in both directions and getting backed up.  The CHP reports officers are diverting motorists onto Old Sonora Columbia Road to by pass the wreckage.  There is no word on injuries at this time.
