Update: Pedestrian Vs. Vehicle In Downtown Sonora

Update at 7:25pm: Sonora Police report North Washington Street has  been reopened and traffic is moving freely once again. Dispatch did not have any additional information on the accident or the victims’ injuries.

Original Post at 7:09pm: Sonora, CA — Sonora Police are on the scene of a pedestrian versus vehicle accident on North Washington Street in downtown Sonora. Officers have closed off the roadway between Bradford and Linoberg street, according to dispatch.   The person was reportedly crossing the southbound lane of Washington Street when they were struck by the vehicle. Police have no details on injuries at this time.

The accident happened just before 7 p.m. We will bring you more details as soon as we have them.
