Resort Donates To Injured Veteran

Tuolumne, CA — A Vietnam Veteran has received an off-road wheel chair that will allow him to better participate in outdoor activities like hunting and fishing.

Black Oak Casino Resort has donated a $13,459 Action Track Chair to Gary Boyd. BOCR General Manager Ron Patel says, “Gary’s injury was a result of his service to our country, and we are very happy to help him and his wife regain some freedom in their lives that had been lost as a result of Gary’s injuries.”

The donation was coordinated through Allegiant Giving, a non-profit group dedicated to investing in today’s heroes and tomorrow’s leaders. The group has been trying to increase awareness about our veterans and their sacrifices.

The Black Oak Casino Resort, in Tuolumne, is owned and operated by the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians.
