Caltrans Work Plans Week of August 24

Stockton, CA — Drainage, fence and other maintenance chores are high on Caltrans list next week, along with ongoing construction on numerous Mother Lode highways.

In Calaveras County along Highway 4, Monday through Friday, drainage work in three areas is expected to cause ten-minute delays to motorists between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. The three work zones are: between Pool Station and Appaloosa roads; Avery Hotel Road and Rancho Paradiso; and Salt Springs Trail and Sherman Acres.

In Valley Springs environs, on Highway 12, between Pine Street and Cosgrove Creek, highway improvement work continues along the shoulder, round-the-clock. Additionally, overnight pavement marker replacement there Tuesday night through Friday morning between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. may generate five-minute delays. More marker replacement activities on Highway 12 during the same times will go on between Hogan Dam Road and Highway 12. On Highway 26, between Nove Way and Highway 12, related construction continues around-the-clock but is not expected to cause any delays for motorists.

In the Soulsbyville area, along Highway 108, crews will address a number of tasks. Each weekday, between Soulsbyville and County Dump roads, motorists should anticipate minor delays due to fence work, beginning at 6 a.m.; Monday through Thursday, operations will be going on until 7 p.m.; Friday, crews will work until 3 p.m.

Initiating Sunday evening into Monday morning, Caltrans will work on the traffic signal on Highway 108 by Soulsbyville Road from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Then, Monday through Thursday, anticipate five-minute delays as their work continues there from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m.; Friday, they will be on scene until 2 p.m.

Along Highway 120, each weekday, drainage work is scheduled between the South Fork Tuolumne Bridge and the Yosemite National Park West Boundary, where motorists should plan for ten-minute delays from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. Also going on every weekday will be excavation operations between Hardin Flat and Evergreen roads, generating ten-minute delays from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Finally, maintenance operations along Highway 132 each weekday between Bonds Flat Road and Las Palmas Way from 6:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. is expected to set motorists back just a few minutes.
