InnovationFaire In Sonora

Sonora, CA — There is a chance to learn about what new technology is available in the community.

The first annual InnovationFaire is set for August 22 at Tuolumne County’s InnovationLab at the former TGH campus. The event is a partnership between the InnovationLab and the non-profit BEAT group in Merced.

Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority Director Larry Cope says, “People can check out the technologies that are available at the InnovationLab and then learn about these basic technologies through our educational partner, the BEAT group.  This is going to mirror what many communities around the United States have done, in the form of a mini-maker faire. This is kind of our local variety.”

Cope says BEAT will be hosting introductory seminars on topics like Web Development, Drone Piloting, Photoshop, Film Production and Arduino/Raspberry Pi fundamentals.

The event is scheduled to run from 10am-3pm. Anyone wanting to take part is asked to notify event organizers. Contact information is at the website, click here.
