CHP Identifies Victim In Fatal Highway 4 Crash

Calaveras County, CA — The CHP has identified the man that was killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 4 over the weekend.

53-year-old Robert Caulk of the Sacramento area failed to negotiate a curve and collided head on with a pickup truck near Upper Moran Road. Caulk was pronounced dead at the scene. The results of a drug and alcohol toxicology report are still pending. It happened at 2:45pm on Sunday. The driver of the truck, 45-year-old Gerardo Dagio of Murphys was not injured.  Anyone that witnessed the crash is encouraged to call the CHP at 209-754-3541.
