Update: Fire On Highway 108 Contained

Update 6:45 p.m.:  Cal Fire reports the fire is contained at an acre. It was ignited by a bird into a power line. A PG&E crew is heading to the scene to fix the line. PG&E says only one home is without electricity as a result of the fire.

Update 6:30 p.m.:  Cal Fire reports crews are getting handle on the blaze as in coming resources and aircraft have been called off the fire.

Original Post 6:14 p.m.: Jamestown, CA — Firefighter and Columbia aircraft are on the scene of a vegetation fire in Tuolumne County along Highway 108.

Cal Fire reports it is an acre in size and burning at a slow rate of spread in the Jamestown area just past the Montezuma Junction near the Rosasco Ranch.
