Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors are scheduled to accept the resignation of a Planning Commissioner, and send a letter to federal lawmakers about the Rim Fire recovery efforts.
At Tuesday’s meeting, the Board will accept the resignation of Bob Fulcher from the Planning Commission, as he has decided to move out of the county and pursue an opportunity in the State of Washington. The Board is also planning to send a letter to U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein, and others, requesting greater funding support for the Rim Fire restoration and recovery. It was noted that when the BAER Team arrived in September of 2013, emergency projects moved very quickly to prepare for the first winter. However, movement has slowed, as there is limited local staff for reforestation projects, and a lengthy review process.
Among other items, the Supervisors will vote on a historical artifact loan agreement with Yosemite Title related to the display and safeguard of the historic “Bromley Carriage Stone,” and approve the Probation Department’s Community Corrections Partnership Plan and Budget, related to AB-109, for fiscal year 2015-16.
Tuesday’s meeting starts at 9am in the Supervisors meeting room.
